Eastbourne Half Marathon
=================================
 The Eastbourne Half Marathon was run this year on March 2nd with two Little Chelsea businesses prominent in the event. Organised under the umbrella of the Eastbourne Hospitality Association, much of the work is undertaken each year by Rupert Ashford of Ashprint and the main sponsor for the last two years has been Reid+Dean, Chartered Surveyors & Estate Agents.
 “We are not particularly athletic ourselves, but see the event as a great advertisement for Eastbourne, and of course our own business” reports partner, Mike Reid “There are not many times when we can legitimately cover the seafront with our For Sale boards, and each of the finisher’s medals also bears our name. This year there were just under 1000 entrants many of whom came long distances to compete, so it is also very rewarding to have facilitated the event for all of them. There are also a couple of short junior races and it is great to see their enthusiasm – despite the cold and windy conditions the event was a great day for everyone.”
The Half Marathon regularly raises substantial sums for charity and when it is all collected the organisers expect to donate in excess of £10,000 to local causes.
